I luv Sundays

Dontcha just love Sundays? I had a lovely lay in, being woken by my speshal friend on the phone was a nice surprise and nice to hear his voice again. 'Nuff of that, I'm not getting into the personal stuff!!
While I lay there planning out what I was going to do first, my lovely 11 year old daughter came in holding a tray of marmite on toast and apple juice! My initial reaction was 'what has she broken?' or 'where does she want to go now?' Nothing like the suspicious mind eh?! She cuddled up in bed with me, Charley decided it was good fun to load up with 6 of his Bob the Builder trucks, Fireman Sam and his fire engine and a bag of his goodies (cup, drill, screws, hammer and mobile phone...toys of course!) and play on my legs. I couldn't imagine a better Sunday morning or a better start to a day! We watched High School Musical 2 while the dog, Jake slept under my duvet and Charley waffled on all the way through!
We had a walk round to the garden centre this afternoon, just to browse the Christmas trees, decorations, fish and whatever else took our fancy. I was so tempted to get some fish for the tank but I figured we'd leave that till the new year, then maybe we'll get a bigger tank too. For now we'll stick with training Jake to not chase everything that slightly moves no matter how much it scares him! His favourite thing at the moment is trying to eat the cursor on the screen, he done it today while I was doing some emails, I decided to put the music on loud (he's right by the speaker) he jumped out of his skin, fell backwards, off the desk then darted out the room and smash bang into the toy box in the hall. What made it funnier is that I have all laminate flooring and he was the typical scooby doo trying to move but not getting far for all his efforts! Oh how I almost died laughing!
Sunday dinner for us was tacos! Kirsten didn't fancy the lamb I'd bought so we chose tacos with salad, garlic bread with vienetta to follow! Charley wasn't much impressed with his at first, till he had the incentive to eat up then we could go see Santa! The kid soon got it down him and Santa was a disappointment! Why do these people bother year after year if they can't make the effort to at least appear real? Must be a fast quid in my opinion.
I've finally managed to do three layouts! I made a start on my summer journal I'd started back in September so now I think I'm getting myself back into the scrapbooking thing! My laptop is ready to be collected and thankfully I haven't lost anything on there so all my photos are safe and ready for me to print off...serious scrapping coming on me thinks! Now just waiting for my camera to come home...I been a bit jinxed with stuff this year! I've been invited to introduce scrapbooking to one of the local primary schools, as part of their art class, the headteacher is looking for someone to start an after school club there as a continuation of their class work to encourage their imagination and show them how important they are in relation to the future. It's not a take I've done so far so it's going to be very interesting. I will most likely get that up and running after Christmas or soon as my clearance has gone through.
I have one more box to unpack before I go up to bed. I got so fed up of looking at boxes in my dining room that after the kids went to bed I blitzed in there and loaded up my bin...why do we pay to have junk moved from one house to another? In fact why do we keep the junk in the first place?!! So downstairs is almost box free...all I have to do then is sort Kirsten's then deal with the 30 that's sat in the shed!!! Ho hum, one day at a time!
Boxes...I hate them!
Toodlepip xx
