It's that time of the year again when coughs and colds are circulating, in our house it seems like a pastime lately. Kirsten and Charley are off school/nursery today through to their coughing and toilet activities which the antibiotics two weeks ago didn't shift! So today I have two noisy kids arguing over the remote control for the tv...neither able to finish a sentence before being overcome with another coughing fit! Bless them...the up side is that they are both laying together on the sofa...and little Jake (the dog) is cuddled up somewhere in between! Small mercies and all that!
Christmas is fast approaching and this morning (4am to be precise!) I woke up panicking that I'm going to forget to put the tree up for the kids! Please! So after forcing myself to get some more sleep till a reasonable hour (ok one thats better than 4am!) I decided to dig out the two boxes of ornaments and stuff...so now I have them in my view I am sure I can feel my heart tick a little faster when I peek at them...is that hope and excitement looming I wonder? Hmmmm
This year I fancy making some gingerbread cookies to hang on the tree, there's something about a real tree that makes me want to go all fresh and natural...so I've just ordered some cool shape cutters from Lakeland and a variety of coloured pens. I'm almost tempted to get out the old advent stocking calendar I started making two years ago and finish it up...almost...not quite there yet! Lol
My house has a hole for the fireplace but no fire, so I've been eyeing up which ones I like cos I really have to work something out, and besides, a friend from church came last night and measured up for a wood surround...he is going to see if he has the right kinda wood to make one for me! I am so desperate for a fireplace for my kids to hang their stockings on, I so, SO badly want one!! lol At this rate Christmas will be here by the weekend after Kirsten and I have picked up the tree and done some shopping its going to suddenly hit I think...ooh there's another flicker going!! :)
A day of procrastinating for me, D has chosen today of all days to not be around to chat to me(!!), I can't do too much when kids are ill so could be a good time to watch Go, Diego, go rather than just hear it blaring in my ear!!!

Oh Having A Fire Sounds Good, As You No We Have Space But No Fire, Every House We Have Lived In We Have A Had A Big Fire This Is The First With No Fire. A Fire Just Seems To Make A Living Room More... What's The Word I'm Looking For?...Just More Living Room'y' Lol.
