So Christmas is 20 days away and I don't even have my tree up! That is so not like me at all, but I just cant get into it for some reason, not that I haven't tried believe me I have! Usually on the 1st of December my tree goes up, then on the 2nd the decorations are strategically put in their places around the home and outside before the kids and I embark on a few weeks of baking, card making, shopping and any other kind of making we can think of that keeps the festive spirit flowing. When I hear a Christmas song on the radio its all I can do to stop myself from cringing. However I am sure it will all change when Kirsten and I go shopping on Saturday and join in with all the hustle and bustle of other shoppers, searching out bargains and those must-have items! Maybe I've just deprived myself for too long of the whole shopping thing? In fact I think I just felt a stir of excitement! There's hope yet!!
Normally, my Christmas tree is my pride and joy, however in this house the living room is way too small for it so we've decided to have a real one that will fill the air with its lovely scent and bring some life to the room! The tough decision is do we use our existing decorations for do we go for all new and go with a colour theme? Tough decisions!! Homebase have some lovely new tree ornaments in this year, I picked up a little rag dolly girl made from wire and gems and the boy to go with it and some pretty bow lights, I think I might have to pay there another visit! I can definitely feel a stirring of excitement in there somewhere!
In the meantime I'm happy as I am, procrastinating while I chat on the forums I frequent and talk to my speshal guy!
