A WhOLe WEeK!?!!

What a week!! I cannot believe that so many things have happened since the last time I have blogged!! I will talk about Kirsten's Baptism in a separate post, it deserves its own mention! Nothing got better than that experience in my books :)
Well, until Wednesday I have my Jaymie and his girlfriend Leanne (**waves**) and her mum Elaine (**waves**) here staying with us!! Jay decided to cut down most part of that tree that was blocking the gate, cut the grass and trim back the other trees in the garden, he worked like a slave out there bless his heart! Elaine moved some rubbish for me and done all my ironing...now this was not the condition of stay or payment method...I Promise!! Lol Charley thought it was great having Jay around, he barely had a minutes peace, then he had Elaine who he soon found he could wrap round his little finger!! Poor Elaine!! :) Lol She and Leanne wanted to take Charley back for a few days so thats what they done, Charley was so excited to 'go to Jays house' that he almost p'd himself more than once!! Hehe
I am still working like a slave on Ellie's box book, I doubt it is going to be uploaded tomorrow (saturday) but i'm still hoping I can make the timeline i've set...just watch this space or better still sign up to a newsletter ready to hear when its available!
I have a lot of fingers in pies right now for the places I am likely to be teaching in, I am determined this year to get the scrapbooking word out there for everyone, whatever their background and income capacity, and hopefully without all this named stash thing, to just get people scrapbooking their memories will be a great start to begin preserving their memories, etc. My newsletter will cover a lot of what scrapbooking does to us that take time to do it. It will also include the angle I believe in, and that telling the story side to it, in any way that works for the creator. I'm not into all this fancy pages that doesnt tell a story, thats not scrapbooking in my book, its attaining an image on a pretty page, it doesnt SAY anything. My take is purely from the original, true intention of scrapbooking, tied in with my spiritual beliefs also to preserve our place in history, tell our kids, grandkids, leave something behind of our world, life, community, family as it is today. Ten years from now who will be able to tell the story of that gorgeous layout that has only a title and cute accessories on? I rest my case!
There are MANY irons in the fire this end, I am emailing, phoning and writing lots of people to receive opportunities to get scrapbooking out there...and believe me you are not going to believe me when I tell you the kind of things that are coming up!! All in good time though, a hint though...a woman's institute...teenagers...alternative healing groups...:) More WILL come on all of that when I have secured the contracts and the security clearance required. I think you guys are just so darned lucky to have gotten the scrapbooking bug, whatever your style or ability, the fact you are doing it is just fantastic, but just dont cut yourself short and forget to tell the story though, dont fall into the trap of just having gorgeous pages alone...thats just being commercial then and living to fit in with everyone else's expectations. Be yourself, write YOUR story!!
Ok...motivational talk over! I have two books to write this weekend after Ellie's book and two mini books to make that are requested from my website visitors...if you want to know more you are gonna have to sign up to my newsletter....the box is down on the right there.....just scroll down :)
I will update more on this blog as soon as I get a few minutes, my next posting though will be about Kirsten's baptism...would you believe i've had over 12 replies to blog about it? I am so touched that 1. so many actually READ this blog and 2. that you are interested in my daughters special time!! Thank you!! :)
Back soon

thanks for the reminder on how important it is to document on the special times in our lives...most times just having a photo 5 years later is a mystery.
Sounds like you've had a busy week.
Hope your weekend is good.
:)
