Hands up who makes lists? Now tell me if you make lists of lists? I do! I have three lil books that I separate and list in the things I need to do, I have a personal list book, a business list book and a family/kids list book and trust me I NEED them all!
This week i've been running here there and everywhere, from schools to shops, from nurseries to dr's, from my room down to the dining room and I figured that I need to even list what I have to go upstairs for cos by the time I get there...I've forgot!
Today started off really peaceful and relaxed, so much so that at 7.30 Kirsten and I were sat on the rug in the living room playing cards...all showered and ready to start the day! Charley was snuggled on the chair watching Diego and fussing the dog and the atmosphere was total harmony. Getting Kirsten to school was uneventful too, even coming home. By this time (8.40) I was liking this way of things happening very much! I had slow thoughts running through my head of the discussion I've had with two potentials for my DT, they've offered some very good ideas and I was just mulling over how to incorporate them. All in all I was relaxed, content and ready to plod through the list of the day...then I pulled up outside my house to find that the guy who came to fix my drain was threatening to dig up all the one side of my front garden, the pathway along the side of the house and part of the back garden. No way!! So I insisted he get it inspected before he just start lumping that hammer about!! Eventually it was agreed that the inspector would come out first!! Phew.
My friend Tim called me this morning, he was off to a meeting in Stroud (he lives in Stafford) and wanted to see if he could shout me breakfast on his way through, now i'm not one to say no to an offer like that so off I went! :) Its amazing how you can not hear from someone for such a long time that when you remember them they turn up in some way. I talked about Tim just a few days ago to another friend of mine (oohh dont I sound popular!!!) with his big flash sports car that 'looks better topless'!!! Hehehe His words not mine!
My list for today included things like 2/3 runs to the local charity shop to get rid of a lot of stuff that I'm just not going to use or ebay, hop over to Tewkesbury to get our bikes and pop to the bank cos its easier to get to it there than it is in Gloucester! Then the house needs cleaning, Charley wants me to climb in the garden so I managed to do that already! We had a bounce on the trampoline, played ball and climbed the tree! We chased the dog, Charley chased me and I 'got' him! I love hearing him laugh like that!
Now i'm working on paperwork, phone calls, letters, emails blah blah blah and its boring!! I wonder if i'll ever be famous for something, that way I can get a secretary to do all this for me!! Doesn't that sound grand?! :)
I was chatting to someone the other day, not mentioning any names, Kirsty(!!) but we were on about stash snobs...are YOU a stash snob? I'm not, I go with what I like cos when all is said and done the pages will go in MY album and even the fashion of today will be gone in a month or two so why sweat the small stuff and get caught up in scrapbook politics? Personally I think its laughable when I hear comments that are along the line of something being 'out of date', it makes me want to ask what they are going to do with earlier layouts they've done then, dump em? Redo them? Everyone's on a stash diet yet they are very picky on what the will use, and I dont mean about their personal taste or style, I mean on if it dont come with a name then it wont get used or owned up to! I mean, PULESE!! Get a grip!! Now tell me this, if your child came home saying he was teased or 'judged' for wearing the wrong trainers or jacket (yeah you know where i'm going here uh?!!) what would you say? Automatically the defenses come in...BUT...and there's always a but...its 'different' when its us!! HA! Life is full of it innit?!!! LOL
Ok, you dont have to have a go at me if you are a defensive scrap snob, I wont hold it against you!! :D We are all different and have our own lil ways in life, who cares that you only use Basic Grey, the latest collection? ONLY YOU and your pages are to make YOU happy! So thats me told!! :D :D
Ok, now i'm off here...handing the orange box to someone else..........:D
