Monday = Rest? Dont talk stupid!

Kirsten tapping away on the computer, dancing on the webcam with her friends, Charley and I doing puzzles on the floor and Jake chasing an imaginary something in the hall...Shania Twain singing in the background, it was all the nice regular Sunday afternoon family thing...just like in the old commercials...then there was a tap at the door. Expecting the missionaries I was overwhelmed with surprise to find my 17 year old son standing there...followed by my 18 yo son, his girlfriend and my mum!! I was gobsmacked! Yesterday was my mum's birthday but as my car is in the garage I couldn't get down to see her, so she decided that as Jay and Leanne are staying with her a few days she'd come up to me...how cool is that? It's not like she lives 5 minutes away, she has to travel 90 miles each way! That's my mum!!
It was just great sitting and seeing their faces as we chatted, laughed and just enjoyed being together. I cant remember the last time I had all four of my kids in the same building let alone the same room! Charley was all over his brothers, he is so blessed to have them idolise him so much. Kirsten was loving having everyone there and me, I was just in my element. I'm all about families myself, in any way they come!
Scott bought himself a new ipod, he gave me his old one which isn't very old and in mint condition, Kirsten had a new one a few weeks ago and she wanted the one I had, so we swapped...are you up on that? Do you get what happened there? I ended up with a brand new ipod within a 3 minute period! Now thats mavouvering for ya!!! So now i'm walking round the house with earplugs in, nodding, jigging and humming along to Enrique, Shania, Darren, Robbie, The Killers, The Stylistics and a whole load of other stuff...its way cool...especially when the kids are whinging!! LOL
Mum and the kids didn't stay very long, so after they went, Kirsten and I had a quick tidy round and settled on the sofa in our pj's to watch back to back episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter. I have gotten so addicted to that show lately! Of course they play up to the cameras but thats what makes it a show, i think their family unit is fantastic, especially as they are two families joined as one. I joined their official website...I know, I know thats desperate!! Yeah I have it bad!! Lol
I had to go to Tewkesbury this morning for an appointment, so off I went with my friend Emma, done what I had to do, had a drink with my friend Becks and done a little shopping, as cold and bitter as it was I quite enjoyed being back up there. I wouldn't live there again now, I realised just how much i'm getting attached to this house, the street and the area, I like where I am now. It took me over 3 hours to get home which in the car is a simple 20 minute drive...but the stupid buses had changed routes, the frequency of them were twice less than I was aware of and so rather than wait in the bitter winds I decided to walk, wasn't too bad till I found that I was not on the new route for the bus I needed!! So what should have been a 1 hour bus journey home, turned out to be 3 buses and 3 hours...just as I got off the bus this end the heavens opened and I was saturated, never again will I put fashion before common sense, my lil denim jacket didn't stand a chance!!
I did see a brilliant heart shape on the tarmac in the next road up from mine, I had to stop for a few seconds to focus on it properly, if only I had my camera!!! Maybe i'll walk up there tomorrow and get that picture!!! :)
As if the days events wasn't enough Kirsten, Charley and I decided to dress up like michellin men, grab some pennies and go for a long walk, pick up a Chinese on the way back and just enjoy being outside. Jake thought it was great, sniffing out previous dogs, Charley waffled all the way up the road, Kirsten sang and practised her walking pose while I danced and jumped around trying to get Charley to do more walking and less talking!! I think i've lost a couple of pounds at least till I ate the Chinese afterwards!! :) Well worth the hour and a half we were out!
The pictures I took have come out crap, I think my camera needs to go back to the fixers again, for some reason the pictures are coming out pink, regardless of how I adjust the settings. It's very frustrating. I dont know if or how I can edit them so if anyone knows please, please, please let me know!! I'd hate to lose these pictures now! This is what one of them looks like....


Right, now its time to go to bed, I have a fair bit of work on at the moment and time is not on my side. I've been commissioned to do my friends wedding album for her, so i'm having fun working on that and enjoying her photos. I have three more album commissions, two are weddings and one is a family holiday...a 3 month holiday, now thats a real holiday eh?!! So, I'm working my butt off trying to keep up with it all...roll on when my friend can join me as a fellow team member for the website....she has so much talent and so many ideas I can do the happy dance just looking at her work! Time will reveal all though...but I guarantee anyone who see's her stuff will not doubt her class projects!!
Ok my bed is calling...loudly!
